Gold nanoparticles encapsulated in porous carbon.

چکیده
Gold nanoparticles encapsulated in porous carbon spheres with high surface areas (~800 m(2) g(-1)) have been synthesized by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis (USP). The porous carbon-encapsulated gold nanoparticles exhibit excellent catalytic activity toward the reductions of both hydrophilic and hydrophobic nitroaromatics.

Core−Shell Nanocomposites Based on Gold Nanoparticle@Zinc− Iron-Embedded Porous Carbons Derived from Metal−Organic Frameworks as Efficient Dual Catalysts for Oxygen Reduction and Hydrogen Evolution Reactions
Core−shell nanocomposites based on Au nanoparticle@zinc−ironembedded porous carbons (Au@Zn−Fe−C) derived from metal−organic frameworks were prepared as bifunctional electrocatalysts for both oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). A single Au nanoparticle of 50−100 nm in diameter was encapsulated within a porous carbon shell embedded with Zn−Fe compounds. The resu...
متن کاملGold nanoparticles encapsulated in porous carbonw
Gold was considered catalytically inactive until 1987, when Haruta and co-workers found that gold nanoclusters supported by metal oxides showed high activity toward CO oxidation even below room temperature. Since then, there has been intense interest in the use of Au nanoparticles (NPs) to catalyse a variety of reactions, including low temperature oxidation of CO, selective oxidation of alcohol...
متن کاملGold nanoparticles grown inside carbon nanotubes: synthesis and electrical transport measurements
The hybrid structures composed of gold nanoparticles and carbon nanotubes were prepared using porous alumina membranes as templates. Carbon nanotubes were synthesized inside the pores of these templates by the non-catalytic decomposition of acetylene. The inner cavity of the supported tubes was used as nanoreactors to grow gold particles by impregnation with a gold salt, followed by a calcinati...
متن کاملPreparation of Au-polydopamine functionalized carbon encapsulated Fe3O4 magnetic nanocomposites and their application for ultrasensitive detection of carcino-embryonic antigen
A novel carbon encapsulated Fe3O4 nanoparticles embedded in two-dimensional (2D) porous graphitic carbon nanocomposites (Fe3O4@C@PGC nanocomposites) were synthesized by situ synthesis strategy, which provided a sensor platform owing to a large aspect ratio and porous structure. Polydopamine (PDA) were modified on the surface of Fe3O4@C@PGC nanocomposites through self-polymerization of dopamine,...
متن کاملTin nanoparticles encapsulated in porous multichannel carbon microtubes: preparation by single-nozzle electrospinning and application as anode material for high-performance Li-based batteries.
Tin nanoparticles encapsulated in porous multichannel carbon microtubes (denoted as SPMCTs) were prepared by carbonization of electrospun PAN-PMMA-tin octoate nanofibers fabricated using a single-nozzle electrospinning technique. This material exhibited excellent characteristics for lithium ion battery anode applications in terms of reversible capacities, cycling performance, and rate capabilit...
